Margaret Ann Houchens, 66, of Earlysville passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her home.
Margaret was born May 31, 1948 in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Jake Collier and Hazel Dotson Collier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hazel J. Collier and a daughter-in-law, Candy Furman.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Steve S. Houchens; two sons, Rodney J. Houchens and Stephen B. Houchens both of Earlysville; one daughter, Stephanie A. Houchens and her fiancé, David R. Gentry of Charlottesville; one sister, Frances Marie Thacker and her husband, Thomas of Earlysville; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many other family members and friends.
Margaret was a member of Full Gospel Assembly. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was employed at Winterhaven for many years.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Sipe officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
