Margaret Frances Morris
Margaret Frances Morris passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 in Stanardsville, two weeks shy of her 93rd birthday. Margaret was born on December 9, 1920 in Greene County to the late William Durrett Morris and Minnie Shifflett Morris. She was the last surviving of their eight children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Clyde Morris and her two sons, Clyde Stanley Morris and William Linwood Morris.
Margaret is survived by her four grandchildren, Harold I. Morris, Stanley A. Morris, Herbert Stanley Morris and Lisa Morris as well as seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Church of the Brethren, 645 Evergreen Church Rd Stanardsville, VA with Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Evergreen Church of the Brethren, c/o Stephanie Deal 1102 Evergreen Church Rd Stanardsville, VA 22973.
The family would like to thank those that helped Margaret in the last few years of her life, especially Jimmy Morris. A special thank you to the staff at the Harbor at the Renaissance in Stanardsville and Dr. David Duani for their kind care given to her over the years.
