Marjorie Ellen Thacker Snow
Marjorie Ellen Thacker Snow went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2014. She was born on May 15, 1958 in Charlottesville, VA and was the daughter of the late Floyd Elmo Thacker and Helen Janette Layne Thacker.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Garrett Lee Shifflett.
Margie is survived by her husband, Ronald Snow of Barboursville, her two sons, Garrett Shifflett and Floyd (Dwayne) Shifflett, also of Barboursville.
She has five grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Garrett and Haileigh Shifflett of Barboursville and Floyd (Bubba), Shane and Jesse Shifflett of Ruckersville.
She is also survived by three brothers, David Thacker and his wife, Lynn of Hyde Park, NY, Alan Thacker and his wife, Rebecca of Centreville, MD, Kenneth Thacker of Louisa, VA and one sister, Sheila Flasinski and her husband, Joe of Scottsville, VA. She also had a host of nieces and nephews that loved her very much.
All that know Margie know that she loved spending time with her family. Even in her last days, it was important for her to spend them with her grandchildren and family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name c/o Ryan Funeral Home, PO Box 274 Ruckersville, VA 22968.
