Marvin Brown Lamb, 101, of Troy, VA, passed at home with family by his side on Sunday, April 28th, 2024. He was born June 10th, 1922, in Ruckersville, Virginia, to the late Emery Martin Lamb and Mary Edith Shifflett Lamb. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Virginia Lamb, his son Marvin Junior Lamb, and many other brothers and sisters who welcomed him with open arms.
He is survived by sisters, Gloria Gibson and Janice Wood, and a brother, Ennis Lamb. As well as his sons Roger Lamb (wife Patsy), James Lamb (wife Susan), Eugene Lamb (wife Linda), Johnny Lamb (wife Margaret), David Lamb (late wife Lena), Calvin Lamb, his daughters Maxine Morris (husband Kenny), Barbara Madison (husband Danny), and daughter in law Patricia (wife of the late Marvin Junior Lamb). He is also survived by and helped raise two grandchildren, Tracy and Steven Lamb, along with many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Some of his favorite things to do were work, have yard sales, spend time with family, and go to church, which he loved so much! He attended Full Gospel Assembly Church for 40 years with his well-beloved preacher, Brother Ronnie Sipe, and his wife, Sister Libby Sipe, whom he considered family and loved dearly.
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, May 2nd, from 6-8 p.m. at Batten Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville. A funeral service will take place Friday, May 3rd at 1:30 p.m. at Batten Funeral Home with a graveside to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be shared with the family below.
