Mattie Lena Hall Taylor, 70, of Stanardsville passed away peacefully Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Grace Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 15, 1943 in Perry County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ira Hall and Rosie Combs Hall.
In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by a brother, Hargus Hall.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, James D. Taylor; one son, Mark D. Taylor and his fiancée, Cherrie Lewis; two grandchildren, Mason D. Taylor and Madison E. Taylor all of Stanardsville; three sisters, Jean Rose of London, Kentucky, Margaret Vogel and Bernice Palmer both of Ruckersville; two brothers, Ira Hall of Jackson, Kentucky and Kennith Hall of Indiana; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Mattie was a member of First Bible Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
