Michele Anne Shifflett

Michele Ann Shifflett, 49, of Earlysville, Virginia passed away peacefully after a brave battle with cancer on September 9, 2017 at her residence.
She was born February 25, 1968 in Charlottesville, daughter of Huey Elwood Shifflett and Lorene Knight Shifflett.
Michele was preceded in death by her brother, Mitchell “Mitch” Elwood Shifflett; paternal grandparents, Luther Whitt and Gracie Virginia Shifflett; maternal grandparents, Homer and Evy M. Knight.
She is survived by her parents, Huey E. and Lorene K. Shifflett.
Michele graduated from Western Albemarle High School and George Mason University. She continued her love of learning by taking horticultural, nursing and vineyard classes.
Michele loved working in her flower gardens and spending time with her family. Some of her fondest memories included holiday gatherings, cookouts and dinner dates with her parents.
Her dog, Meadow, was her pride and joy. She made it a priority to place her in a good home before her passing.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 A.M. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Holly Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James “Jim” Jinks officiating.
The family is very appreciative of all the support they have received from family and neighbors during this difficult time.
