Newman Lee Taylor Jr.

Newman Lee Taylor Jr., known to family and friends as Jr, age 55, passed away on January 25, 2026, in Ruckersville, Virginia. He was born on August 10, 1970, in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He was born to Sheila Shifflett and the late Newman Lee Taylor Sr. Jr was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, and friend who was deeply loved by many.

He is survived by his loving mother, Sheila Shifflett; his wife of nine years, Sharon Davis; his children, Christian, Emily, Aspen, and Willow; and his stepchildren, Avielle, Braxton, and Gabrielle, whom he loved with his whole heart. He is also survived by his brother, Tony; his sisters, Patricia and Angie; his stepsisters, Jenny and Peggy; and a host of extended family and friends.

Newman had a passion for old cars, enjoyed grilling, and treasured time spent with his children above all else. His presence, love, and personality made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
