In Loving Memory of Noah Waylon Miskovsky

Noah Waylon Miskovsky passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, August 7, 2026. Though his time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, and light he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him will remain with us forever.

Noah was the beloved son of Amber Miskovsky. He was preceded in death by his aunts, Amanda Phelps and Sheena Miskovsky, and his “Granny by heart,” Joyce Moses.

Noah is survived by his sisters, his beloved “Sissys,” Alysa, M. Moses, and Jasmine Pullen; his sister by heart, Teagan Palmer; his great-aunt and great-uncle, Dutchie Kidd and James Miskovsky, whom Noah lovingly called his “Mama and Papa”; his grandmother, Alma Lawson; his grandfather, Michael Miskovsky, and his wife, Kim Malone; his great-grandmother, Shirley S. Lawson; his aunt, Ashley Breeden; and his uncle, Dexter Lamb. He also leaves behind many cousins and loved ones, including Kingston and Mathias Lamb, Tessa Miskovsky and Cameron Vann, Matthew and Shastine Miskovsky, Tabitha Miskovsky, and so many others who were blessed to know and love him.

Noah was born on January 22, 2024, at Sentara Hospital in Charlottesville. He came into the world as a beautiful, red-haired baby boy weighing 8 pounds, 2 ounces. He was born ready to eat, and it didn't take long before he became the little “meatball” we all knew and loved.

From the very beginning, Noah brought light and laughter wherever he went. He had a spirit like no other—big, passionate, determined, and very strong-willed. Once Noah had his mind set on something, whether it was good or mischievous, he was going to find a way to make it happen.

Noah had a way of making friends everywhere he went. Taking him through a store was like watching him walk through a beauty pageant. He would happily wave hello and goodbye to everyone he passed, making sure no one was left without a greeting from him.

He loved his trips to Sissy's house, especially sleepovers and day trips to all sorts of places. He loved visiting his friend Opal, where they would play house and dress up. One of his most special memories was his last visit with both of his “Sissys” there together.

Noah loved pink and purple. He loved his Barbie car, his stuffies, and, perhaps most of all, balloons. He could spend an entire day playing with a balloon, whether it was still inflated or had already been popped. He didn't need much to have fun; Noah had a gift for turning even the simplest things into an adventure.

He loved being outside—running, playing with his little playsets, and finding any excuse to play in the water. One of his favorite things was gardening with Mama and Papa. Those moments were filled with the kind of simple happiness that made Noah's world feel complete.

Noah also loved his quiet moments with Mommy. He loved nothing more than snuggling up close with her, getting cozy, and watching his favorite movie, Zootopia. But Noah could never stay still for too long. Before long, a favorite song would come on, and he would jump right up and dance, filling the room with his happiness. He loved music, and when Noah danced, he danced with his whole heart.

And then there was Papa's cooking.

Papa made Noah a foodie from a very early age. While most babies were still happily eating jarred food, Noah wanted absolutely nothing to do with that. He wanted the real thing—and he wanted to help Papa make it. He loved being in the kitchen and being part of whatever Papa was cooking. It was just another way Noah showed us that he wanted to be right in the middle of everything.

Noah's life was far too short for such an amazing little person. In the short time he was here, he gave more love, laughter, and joy than many people manage to give in a lifetime. He left little pieces of himself in the hearts of everyone who knew him—in every silly smile, every wave hello, every adventure, every balloon, every dance, every movie snuggled up with Mommy, every meal made with Papa, and every moment spent surrounded by the people who loved him.

The world desperately needs the kind of light Noah carried with him. He knew love. He knew joy. He knew happiness. Those are the things we choose to remember for him.

His life may have been short, but it was full of love.

All he knows now is peace.

Mama loves you, sweet boy.
