Olgene McDaniel, 88, of Barboursville, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017. She was born on July 3, 1929 in Greene County to the late Asberry and Mamie Snow.
She is survived by her son, Wendall A. McDaniel and his wife, Debbie Kay McDaniel; daughter, Debbie Sue Mundie and her husband, Dan Mundie; grandchildren, Brian Mundie and his wife, Allison Mundie, Danielle Mundie and her boyfriend, Randy Herring and Amanda McDaniel; great grandchild, Riley Mundie; sister, Oneida Herring of Earlysville; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jinks Arlington McDaniel, siblings, Zelda Handy, Merval Harlow, Aubrey “Brother” Snow and Asberry Snow, Jr.; and great grandson, Jacob Mundie.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ruckersville Baptist Church, 6 Moore Rd Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Ruckersville Baptist Church with Pastor Kyle Clements and Pastor Wendell Lamb officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to All Blessings Flow, 3509 West Monacan Dr., Charlottesville, VA 22901.
