Patricia Temple Haney Chapman

Patricia Temple Haney Chapman died Saturday evening, July 22nd, 2017. Born August 10th, 1940, in Ruckersville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Everett Roy Haney and Mary Brill Kidd.
She was also predeceased by her brother, Bobby Brill Haney, her brother-in-law, Kenneth Earl Chapman, and her brother-in-law, Emmitt Eugene Baugher.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Alvin Aljourn Chapman; two daughters, Laurie Chapman Blakey, and her husband Zirkle Blakey III, and Carla Bernadette Chapman; and two grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Blakey and her husband, C. Robert Dimitri, and Nathaniel Jennings Blakey.
She is also survived by her siblings Joyce Haney Morris and her husband, LeRoy, Everett Roy Haney Jr., and his wife Mary, Walter Reid Haney, and his wife Pat, Emogene Haney Baugher, and Grady Austin Haney; sister-in-law, Bernice Chapman; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Patricia retired from Sperry Marine Systems in Charlottesville. A farm girl her entire life, she was a lover of the outdoors, and never met a stray cat or dog that she did not take in as her own.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 30th, at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greene County Animal Shelter, at P.O. Box 358 Stanardsville, Virginia 22973.
