Patricia Johns Elder, 79, of Stanardsville, VA died on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Patty was born on February 26, 1938 in Brookville, Ohio to the late Nolan C. Johns and Margaret (Strauser) Johns.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Donald E. Elder of Stanardsville; her sons, Steven Wesley Blaine of Charlottesville, VA, Stuart Andrew Blaine and wife Roseanne of Manassas, VA and Sean Michael Blaine and wife Stephanie of Gainesville, VA; and grandchildren, Jacob P. Blaine, Zachary J. Murphy and Joshua D. Murphy, Eleanor Harrison Blaine, John Renwick Blaine, Nathan Blaine, Erica Blaine.
Additional survivors include her step children, Anne Mossholder, Kelly Elder, Linda Newman and husband Steve, Donald P. Elder, Jennifer Powell and husband Rusty, and Richard Elder; and 15 step grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; 2 step great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Patty’s life will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Rev. Neal Goldsborough officiating.
