Paul “Garth” Hinz, a man known for his boundless kindness, quick smile, and generous heart, passed away on December 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished. To all who knew him, Garth was more than family or friend—he was a steady presence, a source of comfort, and a reminder of what it means to live with open arms and an open heart.
Garth was the best Husband, Papa, Brother, and Friend anyone could hope for. He built his life around the people he loved, offering support, wisdom, and warmth in every chapter of their lives. His gentle nature and deep compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
He found joy in the soulful and straightforward parts of life. Garth loved riding his Indian Motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road and the peace it brought him. At home, he was happiest surrounded by his animals—his loyal dogs Dippy and Kali, his mischievous cats, and even his chickens, all of whom were part of the daily rhythm that made his life complete.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa, with whom he shared a partnership full of understanding, dedication, and joy. He was a proud and caring step-father to Erika Rogers (Dylan) and James Manning (Brandi), who carry forward his lessons of kindness and strength. His joy multiplied with the arrival of his beloved granddaughters—Adde, Elle, and Dot—each of whom brought light to his days and laughter to his heart. Garth is also survived by his brother, Steve (Paula), as well as several nieces and nephews who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and steady presence in their lives.
Garth’s spirit will forever live on in the stories shared around family tables, the memories that spark quiet smiles, and the love he helped root so deeply in the lives he touched. Though he is no longer with us, the impact of his gentle soul remains immeasurable.
He will be profoundly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honored by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace. A celebration of Garth's life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 1 to 4 at Theresa Hinz's residence.
"If love could heal, Garth would be here dancing".
