Peggy Jean Shifflett

Peggy Jean Shifflett, 65, passed away on August 28, 2026. She was born on September 7, 1960, to the late Albert and Carrie Shifflett.

Peggy was preceded in death by her siblings, Jr. Shifflett, Roger Shifflett, Ricky Shifflett, and Barbara Sisk.

She is survived by her siblings, Bobby Shifflett, Jerry Shifflett, and Margie Sims; her son, David Shifflett; and her daughter, Tracey Shifflett. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Allen Shifflett, Nathan Shifflett, and Brianna Ripley, and five great-grandchildren.

Peggy loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and cherished the time she spent with them. She also enjoyed gambling and especially loved playing the slot machines.

Peggy will be remembered and missed by her family and all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Batten Funeral Home in Ruckersville, Virginia. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
