Ruckersville

Peter, “Pete”, Lueders, 89, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, to be reunited with his loving wife, Virginia, “Ginny”, Lueders, who passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Peter was born in New York to the late Albert and Louise Lueders.

Pete and Ginny are survived by their children; Paul Lueders (Kimberley), John Lueders (Cindy), Colleen Hynes (Kevin), Mary Hutchinson (John); five grandchildren; Ryan Lueders (Michaela), Jeremy Lueders (Katyln), Melanie Lueders, Kyleigh Hynes, (Matt), Drew Hynes; ten great-grandchildren; sister in law, Marge Lueders, and family and brother in law, Jim Roarke, and family.

Peter grew up on Rogues Hollow Farm in Waterford Virginia, before heading to RPI in Troy, NY, where he met Ginny on a blind date. It was love at first sight. Upon graduating with a degree in Architecture and marriage, the couple moved to the farm to begin their life together. After working in Falls Church as an architect, Pete opened his own office in Leesburg, VA. Many homes and buildings in Leesburg were designed by Pete. Ginny, an RN, was the smiling face that greeted the young children at the local pediatrician's office in Leesburg for many years. Both Ginny and Peter were active in the Leesburg community while raising their children.

Later in life, Pete and Ginny moved to Ruckersville, Virginia, and they were known in the neighborhood as the loving couple that always held hands when walking. Ginny and Pete would help their neighbors whenever possible. Pete’s wish was to pass away at home, and the family would like to thank the caregivers, Crystal, Tina, Carolyn, Wanda, Julie, and others for helping the family honor his wish.

Pete and Ginny will be buried together in Leesburg, VA, so they can be “attached at the hip” forever in a private burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do a random act of kindness in memory of Pete and Ginny.
