Randolph Shifflett

February 25, 1941 — April 2, 2026

Ruckersville

Randolph Shifflett, 85, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2026. Born on February 25, 1941, Randolph lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Linwood and Rhode Shifflett; his brother, Lebert Gordon Shifflett; and his sister, Loraine Snow.

Randolph is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 64 years; his daughter, Brenda Riddle (James); his son by love, Eric Johnson (Lucy); his beloved cat, Tiger; three additional children; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will cherish his memory.

A man of deep and abiding faith, Randolph dedicated much of his life to sharing the word of God. He ministered to those in prison, offering hope and compassion, and also led occasional services and burials, always guided by his calling to serve others. His kindness and steady presence touched many lives.

Randolph found great joy in the outdoors. He took pride in keeping his lawn immaculate and could often be found enjoying the warmth of the sunshine. His appreciation for simple pleasures reflected the peace and gratitude he carried throughout his life.

There will be a visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, April 6th, at Batten Funeral Home. He will be interred at Stanardsville Cemetery privately.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Greene County EMS, Fire, and Law Enforcement for their care and support.

Arrangements are entrusted to Batten Funeral Home of Ruckersville, VA.
