Rannie Williams Lawson 79, of Ruckersville, VA, went home to be with the Lord on November 8th, 2014 in Charlottesville VA. She was born on October 5, 1935 in Geer, Va to the late Mr. And Mrs. Nickolas Williams.
She is also preceded in death by her husband Jessie Lawson Jr., a son, James Franklin Lawson, four brothers, Gilbert Williams, Reacle Williams, Jim Williams, and Haywood Williams, a sister Flossie Breeden and a grandson Jimmy Johnson.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by two sisters, Madeline Williams of Stanardsville, VA, and Ruby Pearl Lamb of Barboursville, VA, one brother Edward Williams and his wife Ginger of Charlottesville, VA. A brother-in- law Thurman Lawson and his wife Helen of Spout Spring, VA. A son, John Lawson and his wife Diane of Ruckersville, VA, and four daughters, Brenda Stahl of Ruckersville, VA, Patrica Lawson of Gordonsville, Va. Sharon Earles and her husband Tim of Union Springs, AL, and Mary "SueAnn" Johnson of Waynesboro, VA She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grand children, two great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous family members and friends.

Rannie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her loved ones. She also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, gardening, playing cards, reading her Bible and traveling Skyline Drive. She was a very kind and loving person often putting others before herself. She certainly touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on November 11, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home in Ruckersville, Va.

Funeral services with be held on November12, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Church of the Brethren with Reverend C.C. Kurtz officiating.

Interment will follow at Mitchell-Davis Cemetery in Dyke, VA.

Pallbearers are Aaron Belcher, Justin Patterson, Leon Morris, Dwayne Phillips, Robert Johnson Jr., and Shannon Haney.

Immediately following the graveside services family and friends are welcome to gather for a reception held in the lower level of Evergreen Church of the Brethren.

The family would also like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Murray and his staff of Forest Lakes Family Medicine.
