Richard E. Raines
Richard E. Raines, 61, of Barboursville, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Martha Jefferson Hospital due to complications from diabetes and heart disease. He was born on March 20, 1952 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Thurl and Marie Raines.
Richard loved to visit with people and will be missed. Many thanks to the friends and family that showed him kindness and compassion over the years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Clatterbuck Raines and a brother, Thurl Raines, Jr.
He is survived by two stepdaughters, Nadia and Emily of Madison, one sister, Phyllis J. Morris and her husband, Clarence of Quinque, his sister-in-law, Faye Raines of Stuarts Draft, VA and several nieces and nephews.
Additional survivors include a special foster sister, Louise Hensley who was always there for him and who loved him as her brother and his special “Aunt Mary” whom he considered his second mom.
Burial arrangements will be private.
