Robert Elvin Deane

Robert Elvin Deane, 88, of Ruckersville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

He was born September 9, 1931 in Virginia, son of the late Ollie and Maude Deane.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean S. Deane; and brother, Freeman; and sister, Ethel.

Elvin is survived by his sons, Randolph “Randy” Deane and his wife, Sharon of Franklinton, North Carolina, Robert E. “Robbie” Deane and his wife, Denise of Ruckersville, Virginia; six grandchildren, Anita and her husband, Brian, Ray, Elliott and his wife, Amber, Riley and his wife, Nicole, Brook and her husband, Allen, and Dana; nine great-grandchildren, Sydney, Shelby, R.J. , Nathan, Owen, Raven, Kylie, Karsyn, and Arial; sister, Viola Deane; and many other loving family members and friends.

Elvin was a charter member of the Stanardsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Greene County Rescue Squad.  He was also a 60 year member of the Masons and a member of the Old Fellows Lodge.

A private graveside service will be held at Stanardsville Cemetery.
