Robert Paul Freund, Sr.
Robert Paul Freund, Sr., 86, of Ruckersville, VA passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Hospice House of Charlottesville. He was born on April 2, 1929 in Guttenberg, NJ to the late Peter and Elizabeth Freund.
Mr. Freund was a very loving husband, devoted father and cherished grandfather who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Peggy Freund; his children, Robert, Jr. and his wife, June, Richard and his wife, Lois, Randy and his wife, Valory, Alan and his wife, Donna and Elizabeth Giannini and her husband, Bryston; 12 grandchildren,; 3 great grandchildren; and two siblings, Elmer Freund and Edna Schwartz.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Connect Church, 2080 Lambs Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
A service to honor Bob’s life will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Connect Church with Pastors Terry and Eileen Lehmann officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Connect Church Benevolence Fund, PO Box 7304 Charlottesville, VA 22906 and/or Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pkwy Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
