Robert "Mike" and Richard "Rich" Howe

Brothers Robert “Mike” Howe, 77, and Richard “Rich” W. Howe, 62, were the sons of the late Robert and Catharine (Hessler) Howe. They grew up in the Brookland area in northeast Washington, D.C., with their siblings Kathleen, Dennis, and Steve. They all made lifelong friends in that small section of Washington.

They are survived by their sister Kathleen Howe Handiboe and her daughter Theresa Gromadzki; Mike’s daughter Jennifer Howe Watson; brother Steve’s wife Miriam Wood Howe; Steve’s son, Christian Howe and his wife, Liz and daughter Semara; daughter Kathleen E. Howe and her daughter Lila, and Miriam Howe’s extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at Batten Funeral Home in Ruckersville, VA, to celebrate the three brothers. This celebration will take place on Saturday, November 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will also be celebrating Steve, as he, too, passed away recently. Bring your interesting and amusing stories to share with the family.

Rich and Mike will be laid to rest together at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, VA.
