Ronnie Lewis Banks

On Saturday, June 6, 2020, our Lord Jesus Christ called our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Ronnie Lewis Banks home from his labor to eternal rest.

Ronnie was born July 11, 1957 to the late David, Sr. and Winnie Banks in Albemarle County.  He was the oldest of four children.  He was raised in Criglersville and Williamsburg Pike of Madison and graduated from Madison High School in 1975.

After graduating, Ronnie worked at Independent Grocery Association (IGA) in Madison for fifteen years; until he took a position at Utz Quality Foods, Inc. in Charlottesville, VA.

Ronnie was a trustee at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Madison, VA.  He had a love for working, fishing, his favorite football team; the Dallas Cowboys, and most of all, family. 

Ronnie was preceded in death by his children, Teresa Taylor and Chris Taylor.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of thirty-two years, Linda Shifflett Banks; children, Aimee Warren (John), of Orange, VA;  and Lonnie Taylor, Jr. (Angie); of Ruckersville, VA; sister, Deborah of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, David, Jr. (Penny) of Madison, VA; and Toney (Joan) of Flower Mound, TX; aunt, Caroline Jasper, of Madison, VA and uncle, Roger Lee Hill of Culpeper, VA; sister-in-law, Debbie Bunch (Mike), Ruckersville, VA; grandchildren, Teresa, Breanna, Justin, Mackenzie, Morgan and Christopher; special niece and nephew, Tuttie and Little Dee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss and cherish his memory forever.

A visitation will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, 1165 Mud Road, Madison, VA;     June 13, at 10 a.m. followed by the homegoing service at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Frank D. Lewis, Sr. 

Interment will follow at the Banks Family Cemetery located at 20 Bohannon Rd Madison, VA.
