Roy Lee Morris Jr.

Roy Lee Morris, Jr., 69, of Greene County, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was born in Maryland on July 4, 1956, to the late Roy Lee Morris, Sr., and Dorothy Siscosky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne Morris, Sr., Peggy Shifflett, and Julia Toler.

Left to cherish his memory is his soulmate and life partner of 22 years, Wanda Crawford; his children, Marlena April Morris, Michelle Dean, Buzzy Shifflett, and Richard Shifflett; his siblings, Virginia Ward, Rodney Morris, Billy Morris, Sue Morris, and Donna Heislup; 18 grandchildren and one on the way.

Roy enjoyed playing the guitar and had a deep love for bluegrass music. He will be remembered for the joy he found in music and the time he spent with family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Batten Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968. Roy will be cremated, and the family will reunite him with his loved ones at Wyatt Mountain Cemetery at a later date.
