Scott Allen Collier, 59, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away on June 16, 2023. Scott was born on August 22, 1963, to the late John and Jeanne Collier.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Melinda Collier, son Cort Collier, daughter Kacie Brittain and her husband Chris, and brother George Collier and his wife Beverly. He is preceded in death by his parents and his late brother Kenneth Collier.

Scott graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where he met his wife, Melinda. Scott worked with his father and brothers for the family business, Collier’s Gulf Station in Arlington, Virginia and later Collier’s Towing in Charlottesville, Virginia. He graduated from North Texas Horseshoeing School in 1982 and worked as a Farrier until his passing.

Scott was an American Farrier’s Association Certified Journeyman Farrier (CJF), a member of the Virginia Horseshoers Association, and a member of the World Championship Blacksmiths. In addition to shoeing horses, Scott founded his company Scott Anvils out of his passion for the trade. Scott attended City Church in Charlottesville, Virginia where he was actively involved in the Alpha ministry.

A visitation night will be held on Tuesday, June 27 th , 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at City Church. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28 th , 2023, at 3:00pm also at City Church. There will be a meal and fellowship to follow the memorial service.
