Sheila Shifflett

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Sheila Lee Shifflett, who passed away on March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Sheila was born on August 5, 1949, in Fairfax, Virginia, to Bernard Gifford and Sonya Childers. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Aubrey Shifflett; her parents; and her son, Newman Lee Taylor Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Fisk, and her husband, Paul; her son, Tony Shifflett, and his partner, Linda; and her many brothers and sisters. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Heather Thompson, Sonia Parrish, Cheyenne Fisk, Adrianna Fisk, Christian Taylor, Willow Taylor, Aspen Taylor, Emily, and Keith Alen Shifflett.

Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Addison Phillips, Aubree Fisk, Evelyn Parrish, Kaedyn Jones, Alana Fisk, and a great-grandchild on the way. She also leaves behind her cherished dog, Foxy.

Sheila was a loving woman whose warmth and kindness touched many lives. She enjoyed singing, trips to the beach, and spending time with her family and her dog. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
