Shirley Ann Clay

Shirley Ann Clay, 83, of Ruckersville, VA passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Grace Health and Rehab of Greene. She was born on March 12, 1935 in Richmond, VA to the late Arthur and Ellen Collins.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three siblings.

Shirley was a member of Barboursville Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Richard Clay, Jr.; children, Ellen Carter, Paul (Debbie) Clay, Doug (Kelly) Clay, Rich Clay, and Diane Knight; grandchildren, Sabrina (Cameron) Mawyer, Alex Knight, Dustin Clay and Cody Clay; step grandchildren, Chris (Mary Ellen) Lawson and Eric (Heather) Lawson; 6 step great grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Pat Collins of Powahatan and Audrey Hart of Blackstone ; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968, with Pastor Jack Sheler officiating.
