Stephen Ray Morris, 57, of Stanardsville, VA passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his residence. He was born on November 28, 1956 in Charlottesville, VA to Margie Marie Breeden of Charlottesville and the late, Irvin Ray Morris, Sr.
Mr. Morris worked at Coyne and Delany for over 40 years. He was a hardworking man who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed doing mechanic work, playing horseshoes and fishing. Above all, his love was in his family. He was truly a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all he knew.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Morris, his son, Jason Ray Morris and his wife, Jessica of Stanardsville, his daughter, Jessica Nichole Lamb, his siblings, William Randolph Morris, Charlotte Ann Morris, Ronald Lee Morris, and Helen Marie Powell and his grandchildren, Brianna, Trenton and Mckinley Morris and Nathan, Katilyn, Aiden and Landon Jenkins.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Morris and siblings, Irvin Ray Morris, Jr. and Janice Marie Bishop.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Wendell Lamb officiating.
Interment will follow in the Morris Family Cemetery.
