Sylvia M. Teel went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the age of 70. She was born on May 18, 1942 to the late Lurtie E. Lawson and Beulah J. Lawson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Teel and siblings, Leon Lawson, Ronald Lawson, Shirley Williams and Lois Rogers.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Donna Deane and her husband, Herman, Durand Teel and his wife, Brandi and Sherry Crenshaw and her husband, William, her grandchildren, James Deane, Amanda Deane and Dylan Teel.
Additional survivors include her brother, Darryl Lawson and his wife, Lottie her sister, Patricia Shifflett and her husband, Arthur and special nephews, Greg and Wayne Rogers.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Hospice of the Piedmont.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Ruckersville Cemetery with Pastor Deborah Koontz officiating.
