Tara Barrett Shifflett

Tara Barrett Shifflett, 67, of Ruckersville, VA passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born on October 15, 1951 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Donald and Anna McElroy Barrett.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Marie Chapman and much loved son in law, Lamont, James Ronald Shifflett and Mary Ann Shifflett (Lou Jasper); brother, Michael Francis Barrett (Leah); sister, Sheila Barrett Conley; special granddaughter, Anneke Raines; her special friend, Bobalou; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Shifflett.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lydia Community Cemetery.
