Teresa Aldridge Sims

Teresa Aldridge Sims, age 62, went to be with the Lord on Sat. April 24, 2021, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville Virginia.

She was born Dec. 1, 1958, in Fluvanna to Tommy Harrison Aldridge and Lillian Faye Pippin. She was a graduate of Fluvanna High School. Teresa married the love of her life, Marion Creel Sims on July 29, 1989, in Stanardsville, Virginia. She worked and retired from Dominion Power. Teresa lived life to the fullest. Besides spending valuable time with her family, beloved Thumper, and friends, she had a love for God, flowers, singing (Bluegrass), RVing across America, spending all day outside gardening, and decorating her home.

 One of her true passions was playing the piano for her church. Teresa had an uncanny ability to make life positive and always see the best in people. Her bright and loving personality touched so many lives and she was ready to help anyone at a moment's notice.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Tommy Harrison Aldridge Jr.

 She is survived by her husband of 32 years Marion; daughter Nicole Collier and her husband Jonathan; two sons Clayton Sims, his wife Jamie and Landon Wilson; her grandchildren Tobias Collier, Colby Collier, Victoria Collier, Corey Collier, Kaelyn Sims, Natalie Sims, Kiera Sims, Nya Wilson and Kamdyn Wilson; three brothers Stephen Aldridge and wife Jennifer, Thomas Aldridge and his wife Paula, Richard Aldridge and his wife Marcella; two sisters Rhonda Mains and Bonnie Barnett, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Teresa, Rosie, Grammy, Grandma will forever be loved and missed.

The family will have a private graveside funeral and a Celebration of Life service at a later time to be announced.
