Virginia Snow

H. Virginia Snow, 89, of Stanardsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Virginia was born November 28, 1931, daughter of the late Andrew Roach and Carrie Shifflett Roach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Snow; daughter, Virginia Ann Snow; siblings, Edith Conley, James Roach, Alton Roach, Glenn Roach, Virgie Deane, Andrew Roach, Billy Roach, Thelma Morris, Franklin Roach and Dora Roach.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Janet S. Hindes and her husband, Bud; granddaughter, Julie Mitchelson and her husband, Wister; great-grandchildren, Riley and Sophia Mitchelson; siblings, Charles Roach and Lena Woodson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Virginia was an active member of Stanardsville United Methodist Church. Virginia was an avid community and William Monroe High School sports supporter. Many people in Greene County remember her friendly face at Wendy’s in Ruckersville where she worked for many years.

A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.

A memorial service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.

Memorial contributions may be made in Virginia’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
