Virginia Faye Thompson

Virginia (Ginny) Thompson, 75, of Stanardsville was surrounded by her loving family as she was called home to claim her victory over cancer on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased in death by her brothers John and Kenny; and her beloved sister, Freda Shifflett.Ginny is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joseph Thompson; son Tommy Darnell (Dee); daughters Kathy Darnell, Kim Wood (David) and stepson Troy Thompson; brother Norman Sexton; grandchildren, Chasity Gentry, Samantha Dameron, Kerri Moxley, Cheyanne Wood, Baylor Darnell, Cody Wood, Kelsey Moxley; her 10 great-grandchildren who were her greatest joy.

 A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
