Walter T. Duff, 67, of Hanover, VA died on September 21, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 7, 1946 to the late William Jennings Duff and Elizabeth Atlee Kidd Duff.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert V. Duff and Charles B. Duff.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Allen Duff, two daughters, Barbara Eppard of Stanardsville, and Brenda Duff of Fredericksburg and one step son, Charles Hersey, Jr. of Ashland.
Additional survivors include three grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany and Nicholas, two great grandchildren, Logan and Kendall, one brother, William (Billy) J. Duff, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Powhatan, three sisters, Harriett Duff Frank of Richmond, Catherine Duff Snead and her husband, Roger of Quinque, Elizabeth Maxine Duff Henry of Orange, two sister-in-laws, Laoma Duff of Ruckersville and Kay Duff of Charlottesville, his very close friend, Edward (Eddie) Wojdylak and his wife, Faye of Ruckersville, his faithful companion, Scooter and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Pastor Jack Shelar officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Ruckersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Ruckersville Cemetery Association, PO Box 329 Ruckersville, VA 22968.
