Welman "Buddy" Wesley Roberts

Welman “Buddy” Wesley Roberts, age 92, went home to meet His Lord and Savior on June 2, 2022 in Charlottesville, Virginia.  He was born on January 29, 1930 in Greene County, Virginia to the late John Wesley Roberts and Nettie Shifflett Roberts.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Copenhaver Roberts, brother, George Curtis Roberts, two sisters, Eleanor Roberts Lawson, Arvenie Roberts Shifflett and a niece, Phyllis Shifflett.   He leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews.  

Welman retired from Wilson Trucking in Charlottesville, Virginia.  He spent his retirement years living at Fort Chiswell, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Mike Ingo officiating.

Interment will follow in West End Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, one hour before service time.
