William Allen Saunders

William Allen Saunders, 83, of Stanardsville, VA passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Accordius Health at Greene. He was born on August 29, 1937 in Washington, DC to the late Raymond and Helen Saunders.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy Jean (Fulton) Saunders; his brother, Robert “Bob” Saunders; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith (Judy) Saunders; sisters, Elizabeth Kenna, Vera Mills, Dorothy Ann Saunders, Mable Bundy, and Margaret Zaccanelli; and brothers, Melvin, David, and John Saunders. 

A sincere thank you to Mrs. Betty Nuebel for her unending care of Dot and Bill for many years and to the staff at Accordius Health at Greene for the last two years while he was there. 

Bill will be missed by the family and for knowing all the birthdays and anniversaries in our families.  

Services for Mr. Saunders will be private.
