William "Billy" Seidle of Harrisonburg, Virginia went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 23, 2014.  He was only 27 years old.

Billy was born October 3, 1986 in New Jersey, but grew up in Madison, Virginia and graduated from Madison High School.

He was a beloved member of his community and from early on was active in volunteer and outreach programs supporting wounded veterans and troops, and advocating for the homeless, troubled youth and those less fortuntate.  He graduated from Eastern Mennonite University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.  During his years at EMU, he made many friends but especially loved interacting with international students and had the opportunity to travel to China in 2008.  All of his jobs since graduation involved helping others with physical, mental or emotional handicaps.  Since 2010, he has devoted his life to helping refugees from Eritrea and Ethiopia and was a patient guide, nurturing mentor and cherished member of the Habesha family.   He will be deeply mourned by friends and family.

Billy is survived by his mother and step-father,  Nancy Kane-Brock and George Brock; six siblings, Joseph Kane, Nancy "Missy" Harrell (Charles), Kelly Rhodes, Crystal Davis, Steven Seidle and Jason Seidle; his sixteen nephews and nieces, Jalen, Jasmine, Josiah and Xavier Kane, C.J. Spencer, Nicky, Connor, Tyler and Madison Harrell, Nikayla and Lucas Williams, Joseph Breeden, Jr., Dominik and Cassidy Davis, Landon Seidle; his cousins, Norm and Stacey Copsetta and his uncle, Edward Kane.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Harrisonburg, Virginia with Pastor Jeremy Poling officiating.
